Winter is almost here! Across the country all the major resorts are preparing for opening day. Many resorts have already started blowing snow. In New England, Sugarloaf and Sunday River have both been open for a few weeks. I was able to ski briefly on Sunday for a few hours at Sugarloaf. The conditions weren't bad and it felt amazing to finally be back on skis. Things are already looking good for the 2012-2013 season. Places out west have already received a few feet of snow! Where are you guys headed this winter?

AJ, You said you prefer Alpine skiing, do you like Freestyle skiing? Freestyle skiing is such an exciting sport; a bit crazy but very exciting! Recently, I’ve seen several North Face advertisements showing videos of some Freestyle skiing. It looks so dangerous! Your parents must be so nervous when you’re out there! Do you compete in this sport? Do you belong to any ski teams? If so, for how long? Is Freestyle skiing the same thing as Extreme Skiing? Best of luck in the upcoming winter ski season – have fun and stay healthy!
